The ActivMedia split cash / check depository cassette was designed to improve the overall cash capacity for deposits in CCDM2-equipped CS Series ATMs including the CS 7700, 7750, 7780 and 7790 systems. The split cassette is designed to stack cash horizontally on the left side, but stack checks in a vertical position to the right side of the cassette. This design enables a 90% increase in cash deposit volume versus the standard configuration of one full cash cassette and one full check cassette. For applications where cash deposits are high, financial institutions can reduce CIT visits by as much as 50% by using the split deposit cassette in addition to a full cash deposit cassette. These cassettes are drop-in replacements for the standard check deposit cassette yielding a simple upgrade path and no major changes to cash replenishment processes.
